Leora Levy Denounces Biden’s ‘Slight Recession’ Comment
GREENWICH, CT - Tuesday evening, in an interview aired with CNN’s Jake Tapper, President Biden acknowledged the U.S. economy may enter a ‘slight recession.’ Biden admitted what the rest of the U.S. already knew after his administration long denied the possibility of a recession, called rising prices ‘transitory,' and ignored an Obama senior economic adviser’s advice to not spend trillions of dollars in taxpayer money. It also follows today’s news that the producer price index, which measures the prices that U.S. businesses get for the goods and services they produce, increased .4% for the month and 8.5% in the past year.
U.S. Senate candidate Leora Levy issued a statement promising to stand by Connecticut residents as they brace for a difficult economic future.
“The American people deserve accountability from Biden and Blumenthal for creating this economic crisis, for it is the American people paying the price for their failed policies every day. Will Dick finally come clean and admit what a disaster his economic policies have been in Connecticut?
“No one should have to decide between feeding their family or heating their home. As Connecticut families are crushed by rising prices, Biden and Blumenthal raise taxes on the middle class and weaponize 87,000 IRS agents to go after hard working taxpayers. After 37 years, Connecticut residents have had enough of career politician Dick Blumenthal. I promise to be a common-sense voice in Washington who will stand with Connecticut and fight to make life affordable.”
