We have a new video to share <[link removed]> in our series, “Below the Line: Stories from Low Wage Workers in the South!"



This week we hear from Felipe, an NC farmworker, who shares his thoughts on what a more fair economy would look like: “There are thousands of agricultural workers,” he explained. “The economic impact we have here in the United States is very large, and that isn’t recognized. We should be recognized, all the agricultural workers who come and give the better part of our lives here in the United States.”

This video series featuring the voices of workers is the result of deep relationships we’ve built with farm workers and organizers across the state of North Carolina. In 2020, there were over 22,000 H-2A farmworkers in North Carolina alone, making just $14.16/hr on average.

¡Tenemos un nuevo video <[link removed]> para compartir en nuestra serie, "Debajo de la línea: historias de trabajadores de bajos salarios en el sur".



Esta semana escuchamos a Felipe, otro trabajador agrícola de Carolina del Norte, quien comparte con nosotros sus pensamientos sobre cómo sería una economía más justa: “Nosotros son miles de trabajadores agrícolas,” explicó. “El impacto económico que hacemos aquí nosotros trabajos agrícolas es bastante grande, que no se ha reconocido. Que bueno sería que se nos reconociera, de reconozca todos estos trabajadores agrícolas.”



Esta serie de videos para elevar las voces de los trabajadores es el resultado de las profundas relaciones que hemos construido con trabajadores agrícolas y organizadores en todo el estado de Carolina del Norte. En 2020, había más de 22 000 trabajadores agrícolas H-2A solo en Carolina del Norte, que ganaban en promedio solo $14.16 por hora.
