Dear John,
Every day, dairy farmer, Mum, and Mainer, Jenni Tilton-Flood, wakes to the concern that all of her work is for not!
She is worried about the presence of PFAS (known as forever chemicals) in the soils, waters, and working lands of her nearby communities—the very environment she relies on to feed her herd, neighbors, and community.
Throughout 2021, we worked with our allies to phase-out toxic PFAS when safer alternatives are available.
That phasing out of PFAS was a win for the environment and for people across the state – especially for low-income and communities of color who are disproportionally affected by this contamination.
But to keep this critical work moving forward, your support is needed throughout the year.
