Friend,
We’ve won significant victories in 2019 – victories that have reduced the role of criminalization, repaired the harms of the drug war, prioritized health, and, most importantly, saved lives.
There is a lot to do in the upcoming year. After the House Judiciary’s historic vote, we need to ensure Congress passes the MORE Act – the most comprehensive piece of federal marijuana legislation ever introduced. We need to keep advocating for bold new solutions to the overdose crisis, including building on a landmark legal victory that paves the way for the nation’s first legal supervised consumption site. We need to end the criminalization of drugs and the people who use them.
