Elect Katie Hobbs

John,

Early voting begins in Arizona this week and in just a moment, I’m going to ask for your support.

Here’s why: Our state deserves a leader who understands the challenges Arizonans are facing right now. I do — because I’ve lived them.

Growing up, my family struggled. Sometimes we had to rely on food stamps or our church community just to make ends meet. And years later, when my husband and I were facing financial difficulty, I drove for Uber to help pay the bills.

Those experiences have shaped me. So have my experiences as a mother and as a woman who has suffered miscarriages.

I know firsthand how hard it is to lose a pregnancy. At one point, I had a procedure to remove pregnancy tissue — the same procedure that’s commonly used for abortions, and one that can now be banned after the Supreme Court overturned Roe v. Wade.

I can’t imagine what my situation would have been like had I been told that the best medical decision for my health and safety was also one that would be considered criminal, and would land my doctor in prison. That is a choice women across Arizona are navigating right now as we face nearly constant attacks on our reproductive rights.

These are the perspectives I’ll bring to the governor’s office. I will fight every day to put more money in the pockets of Arizona families, just like I’ll defend our fundamental right to choose.

If you’re with me, I hope you’ll pitch in now to support my campaign in the home stretch:

Every day, I hear from Arizonans who are ready for a leader who will fight for them — someone who understands the challenges they’re facing and who will get to work right away to deliver solutions. That’s what I’ll do as Arizona’s next governor.

Thank you for taking the time to read this message, and for everything you’re doing to help us win this race.
