Welcome to Friday, December 27th, keepers and re-gifters...

GOP Sen. Lisa Murkowski of Alaska has said she’s "disturbed" by Mitch McConnell’s assurance that they’ll be “total coordination” with the White House on impeachment.

Earlier this month, the Senate Majority Leader told Fox News:

"We'll be working through this process ... in total coordination with the White House counsel's office and the people who are representing the president as well as the Senate.”

Murkowski – who has also criticized the Democratic-led House impeachment process – said she remains undecided on how she’ll vote in the Senate, but decidedly wants a “full and fair process.”

"For me to prejudge and say there's nothing there or on the other hand, he should be impeached yesterday, that's wrong, in my view," Murkowski said.

Do you support McConnell coordinating impeachment with the White House?

White House Taking on Homeless

President Trump has threatened California Gov. Gavin Newsom (D) with federal intervention if the Golden State can’t solve its homeless crisis.

“Governor Gavin N has done a really bad job on taking care of the homeless population in California," Trump tweeted on Christmas Day. "If he can’t fix the problem, the Federal Govt. will get involved!”

Between 2010 and 2018, the homeless population in California grew by 7%. As of January 2018, the Golden State had an estimated 129,972 experiencing homelessness on any given day, according to the Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD).

Last week, Newsom blamed HUD, and its secretary, Ben Carson, for the rise in homelessness in California.

“They’re not serious about this issue. They’re playing politics with it ... There’s been nothing but division coming and emanating from the folks at HUD and the Trump administration.”

Should the federal government get involved with California’s homeless crisis?
