FAITH COALITION FOR THE COMMON GOOD – Executive Director

The Faith Coalition for the Common Good Board of Directors in Springfield, Illinois seeks to fill a full time Executive Director position for the organization.

The Executive Director builds the power of the organization by organizing people and money. The Executive Director manages all aspects of the Faith Coalition’s activities, recruiting new member organizations, training leaders, and raising funds to meet budget requirements.

The Executive Director participates in developing the policy and procedures which carry out the vision and mission of the Faith Coalition and implements policies as directed and developed by the Board of Directors.  The Executive Director hires and oversees staff and runs the day to day operations of the organization.  As a Gamaliel Organizer, the Executive Director develops his/her Gamaliel leadership training abilities and trains leaders at the local, state and national levels. The salary for this position is commensurate with experience in organizing and administration.

Requirements for this position:

• Must be Gamaliel trained – provide dates of attendance at a National Gamaliel weeklong leadership training
• Experience as a lead organizer and/or administrative experience
• 4+ years’ experience in a non-profit venue; membership-based organization preferred
• Minimum of a 4-year college degree
• Must live in the Springfield, IL area
