Today marks four weeks until Election Day and I can’t believe how fast this election season has flown by. But for us, the work doesn’t stop on Election Day. While everyone else has their eyes on November 8, 2022 – at New Politics we’re deep into planning for 2023 and beyond.
As you know, I founded New Politics because I saw a very clear need for service-oriented leadership in this country but no clear on-ramp to help service members make the transition into politics. Through our work, we’ve been able to find, train, support, and elect more servant leaders: in 2022 alone we recruited 150 candidates. We don’t just talk the talk, we’re on the ground working with transformative leaders no matter what party affiliation or placement on the ballot.
But it takes a team to make this all happen, and you’re a critical member of this team.
We support outstanding military veterans and national service leaders, alumni of programs like AmeriCorps and the Peace Corps, to step up and serve our country again, this time through politics. We were proud to be behind the movement of veterans who ran for office for the first time in 2018, and we have big plans to grow into the future.
