I’m probably not the first person to ever tell you this, but when Richmonders and Virginians across our state voted this year, they sent a message loud and clear: Virginians are ready for representatives who will work for the people.
Now that we have a Democratic majority in both chambers, it’s time for our new General Assembly to pass legislation that will help our children and families here in Richmond.
The road ahead in 2020 is full of opportunity, and I’m ready to work day and night with the newly elected members to ensure that our democracy is working for the people.
But I need to know that Team Stoney is on track with our fundraising goals for this year. Right now, we’re behind on our end-of-year fundraising -- and we have to raise $954 by TONIGHT AT MIDNIGHT to get back on track with our daily goal. Will you step up to help us make up the difference?
I know that the results of the November election are exactly what our state needs to keep moving forward, and I'm incredibly proud of our team for helping elect leaders who are fighting for equity and progress.
But flipping both chambers blue was just the first step, team.
It’s my top priority to work with the new majority to continue our goal of making Richmond fair and equitable for all, but we need to start out on a strong footing. Will you chip in what you can before MIDNIGHT tonight to help us get back on track with our end-of-year fundraising?
