Stonewall Family and Allies,
Today we would like to celebrate you and our many LGBTQIA+ community members, past, present, and future. Today is a day to reflect on our personal journeys and commit to each other that we will continue to work together to ensure the LGBTQIA+ experience is safe and welcoming for everyone.
We all have the right to live our lives free from fear and stigma.
For many, their rights to exist and freely express themselves is in jeopardy and their personal safety is at risk. We have come far in the movement but we must acknowledge that we have not all progressed together -- if we do not stand together now we may all take steps backwards together.
Our rights and the rights of many others are on the ballot this November.
Thank you all for what you do - and continue to do to lift the voices of our community in these troubling times. Let's commit to coming out together to support members of our community and allies running for office to protect and expand our rights.
