half a million contributions received in just three months, we’re
running a true grassroots campaign — unlike Greg Abbott.
2. But here’s the bad news: we didn’t raise enough to outweigh all the
money Greg Abbott has in the bank. In order to win, we have to
immediately pick up our pace. Remember, Greg Abbott started with a
huge cash advantage. He’s dramatically outspent us (2.5x on TV and
radio ads!).

to do three things to win right now.
✅ Knock on 5 million doors to turn out the vote.
✅ Get Beto in front of voters at town halls and rallies across the state.
❌ Significantly out-fundraise Greg Abbott to fight back against his attack
ads on TV, digital, and radio.
That last part is where we’re falling short. Our field organizers and
volunteers are closing the gap. Our ground game at rallies and town halls
is helping a ton.
But if our grassroots fundraising doesn’t pick up ASAP, we won’t be able
to go toe-to-toe with Greg Abbott on ads. He’s out-spent us 2.5-to-1 on
the airwaves, and if that continues, it’ll be much harder for us to claim
victory on November 8th.
