As we wrap up Hispanic Heritage Month, I want to remind you what’s at stake for our community in these midterm elections.
This year, nearly 35 million Latinos will be eligible to vote, and together we have the power to build the communities and country we all deserve.
Times are tough, and many of us feel like our vote doesn't matter, but that’s not true. From reproductive rights to how the country combats climate change, the way communities are policed to the judges who make decisions in courts at every level -- these issues and more are on the ballot. When we show up, make our voices heard, and vote for our communities, we can determine the future of our country. My biggest sources of inspiration are my children and the millions of young people who are as energized as ever to fight for the future they deserve.
My ask to you today is simple: check your voter registration status, and make a plan to vote. Elections aren’t just a day in November, there are plenty of opportunities to make a plan and cast your ballot early in person or by mail.
Here’s how you can check your voter registration status and plan to vote early in your state:

📲 Then, build your voting squad by texting three friends and asking them to make their plan to vote with you.
📸 Finally, share your early voting photos on social media using #VotingSquad.
Our country is at a crossroads, and our freedoms are under attack. When we organize, mobilize, show up, and vote, we will be one step closer to creating a nation where we can all coexist and thrive. There is just too much at stake to stay home during these midterm elections. This November, vote for the world you want for the next generation. I hope you will join me.
