Higher Gas Prices Coming Soon
Last week, OPEC+, a group of 23 oil-exporting countries, announced a reduction of 2 million barrels of oil production per day starting in November. This will likely cause gas prices to rise here at home, and is an example why energy independence is a matter of national security.
President Biden has announced he will release another 10 million more barrels from the Strategic Petroleum Reserve (SPR), in addition to the 180 million barrels released since April, to attempt to bail out the country from his damaging, anti-American energy policies.
Alternatives to foreign oil exist here in the United States, but President Biden is determined to stifle American energy to appease the radical factions in his own party. As a consequence, hard-working, common sense Americans will pay for his mistakes.
Congressional App Challenge
I'm excited to announce my office will be participating in the Congressional App Challenge (CAC) again! The CAC is a competition designed to encourage student participation in computer science and coding. Open to all middle school and high school students of the 5th District! Please visit my website or call my office at (262) 784-1111 for more information.
That’s a wrap for this week’s eNewsletter! Follow me on Twitter and Facebook to stay up to date on my work for the 5th District of Wisconsin.
Sincerely,
Scott Fitzgerald
Member of Congress
