With Democrats still in control of the House, violent rhetoric from people like Lauren Boebert and Greene might not seem like a big deal. After all, most people have more immediate concerns in their lives.
But the truth is, when federal officials like Marjorie Taylor Greene accuse their political opponents of murder, it doesn’t happen in a vacuum. And when the GOP leadership elevates liars and hatemongers to the most visible posts in their party, the resulting chaos will make QAnon seem tame.
