Now let us explain what hitting this critical goal will allow us to accomplish. Here’s where the money will go:

Funding advertising -- TV, radio, and digital ads -- to reach voters and caucus-goers. Thanks to the amount we raised this month, we were able to go live with our first TV ad. But airtime is expensive. It’ll require a few hundred thousand more dollars to keep hitting the airwaves with Cory’s message.

Executing our get-out-the-vote and get-out-the-caucus pushes in the early states. It takes a lot of resources (staff, volunteers, supplies) to persuade eligible voters to turn out and support Cory in their state’s primary or caucus.

Hiring staff and scaling up in the later states. The path to the Democratic nomination is a long one. It may start in the first four early states (which are very important), but we’re going to need to compete in the states that vote on Super Tuesday and beyond.
