Election Day is 28 days away. 

About 10 months ago, I was learning for the first time what the new district lines would look like. Since then, I’ve been getting to know the new 7th district. I’ve talked with voters, visited small businesses, attended some of mid-Michigan’s best community festivals (can’t wait for Gizzardfest 2023!) and learned about the hyper-local issues that impact these communities.

And now we’ve nearly made it. In 28 short days, Michiganders will head to the polls to cast their vote.

So let me break down what’s left to do. In true Team Slotkin fashion, as we dial in on Election Day we’re only scaling up our efforts. In the next 28 days, we’ll be continuing to air advertisements on TV and digital platforms, knocking on doors, registering voters, encouraging folks to vote early, distributing yard signs, and hosting more campaign events than seems logistically possible (trust me, you don’t want to see my calendar).

We’re officially at the point where every dollar counts. $5 buys a yard sign, $22 pays one of our student organizers for an hour, $150 covers an entire canvassing shift at Michigan State University.
