About Redlining

On August 31, Bishop Bob Farr, the Conference directors and the Cabinet visited the Johnson County Museum in Overland Park, Kansas, to see the redlining exhibit and its impact on the nation, specifically on Kansas City. In simplest terms, redlining can be defined as a lack of investment in one neighborhood in favor of another, typically based on race. Learn more here→

Virtual Ministry Discernment Event
Ministry takes many forms, and it can be both exciting and challenging to discern God’s call on your life. Missouri United Methodists ages 16 years and older are invited to MO Explo, an exploration for those discerning and making sense of God’s call to ministry. This semi-annual event that allows attendees to explore what ministry looks like — lay and clergy alike — gives them the opportunity to talk with others about a variety of ministry options, including elder, deacon, local pastor, missions, disaster ministries, music ministry, chaplaincy, communications and youth/college-age ministries.
