About Redlining

Bishop Bob Farr, the Conference directors and the Cabinet visited the Johnson County Museum in Overland Park, Kansas, to see the redlining exhibit and its impact on the nation, specifically on Kansas City. In simplest terms, redlining can be defined as a lack of investment in one neighborhood in favor of another, typically based on race.  Learn more here→

Virtual Discernment Event

Clergy, do you know someone who is discerning a call to ministry? MO Explo invites any Missouri United Methodist ages 16 years or older to gather virtually for a short time of discernment and making sense of God’s call to ministry. This semi-annual event that allows attendees to explore what ministry looks like — lay and clergy alike — and gives them the opportunity to talk with others about a variety of ministry options, including elder, deacon, local pastor, missions, disaster ministries, music ministry, chaplaincy, communications and youth/college-age ministries. Learn more→
