The Hunt Institute releases first brief of three-part series on the state of HBCU funding

In The Hunt Institute’s newest brief written with support from Lumina Foundation, we take a deep dive into the history of HBCUs, the underfunding of land-grant universities, and federal accountability.

“The State of Higher Education Funding: Historically Black Colleges and Universities,” is the first of a three-part series on the historical disinvestment of HBCUs. The next two briefs, which will be released by end of year.

SCORE & The Hunt Institute host new cohort of CTLI's first meeting

SCORE and The Hunt Institute recently welcomed the newest members of the Complete Tennessee Leadership Institute (CTLI) to their first convening. The new cohort gathered for the first time to get to know each other and get an overview of Tennessee’s higher education landscape.

The Hunt Institute awarded the Private Partnership Award at the National HBCU Week Conference in Washington, D.C.

On Thursday, September 22, members of our Hunt team traveled to D.C. to receive the Private Partnership Award on behalf of The Hunt Institute at the 2022 National HBCU Week Conference.

The Hunt Institute to facilitate Policy Dinner in New Mexico 
Our Hunt team will travel to New Mexico this month for a Policy Dinner convening. This dinners provides policymakers from both sides of the aisle space to delve into the specifics of education policy outside of the walls of the legislature. Policy Dinners bring leading experts and practitioners from around the state and country together to share their knowledge and engage legislators in constructive dialogue about critical education issues facing the state.

The Hunt Institute to host the 2022 Virginia Education Summit
The Virginia Education Summit brings leading experts and practitioners from around the country and Virginia together to share their knowledge and engage legislators in constructive dialogue about critical education issues facing the Commonwealth. The Hunt Institute is facilitating and planning this event, led by President and CEO of The Hunt Institute Dr. Javaid Siddiqi.
