** Hello again, Friend!
------------------------------------------------------------

Today is National Coming Out Day, a special day during LGBTQ History Month where people from around the world celebrate their ability to live an open, authentic life filled with dignity, acceptance, and love.

There are multiple reasons to come out — you may want to openly express your sexual orientation (your physical, romatic, emotional, and/or spiritual attraction to another person), or maybe you want to share your gender identity (how you understand and experience your own gender).

Exploring your identity is normal at every age and any stage of life, and we are here every step of the way.

If you decide to come out today, if you’ve been out for years, or if today is not the right time — we celebrate you and we support you.

Many of us come out many times throughout our lives. And that’s okay! It is all about what works for you, wherever you’re at. If you’re looking to explore what coming out means to you with tools and guiding questions, check out The Coming Out Handbook today. ([link removed])

Remember, you know yourself and what works for you better than anyone else. Each of us has the right to share or not share different aspects of ourselves with others. No one else is entitled to information around your identities, and if you choose not to share parts of your identity with others, it does not make those parts any less valid.

We believe LGBTQ young people deserve a safe, affirming world on National Coming Out Day and every day of the year.

With support,
The Trevor Project

P.S. We recognize that the way we talk about sharing our identity with others is evolving. For some people, the phrase “coming out” works just fine. For others, “letting people in” feels better. Whichever feels better for you, we hope you are able to feel supported in your journey.
No matter what, you’re not alone. The Trevor Project is here for you, 24/7, 365 days a year, from anywhere. It is 100% confidential, and 100% free. Reach a counselor now. ([link removed])
