Our Lady of Fatima – Miracle of the Sun, 3 Holy Masses, Oct. 11-13, Submit Your Intentions

Dear Friend,

One month from today, you and I have the privilege of voting in the Midterm Elections.

During the time of Our Lady of Fatima’s apparitions, the moral and religious situation in Portugal was dreadful. Not only that, World War I intensified in Europe. Over 220,000 Portuguese civilians died as a result of that awful war – thousands from food shortages, as well as thousands from the Spanish flu. Government officials, deep into Freemasonry, pushed through a liberal constitution. There was separation of church and state. Sadly, priests and bishops were imprisoned or exiled; religious orders were suppressed; almost all the seminaries were closed and confiscated; some missions were even abandoned. The mayor who gave orders in August of 1917 to have Lucia, Francisco and Jacinta put in jail was a Mason. He had threatened to place them in a pot of boiling oil if they did not reveal the secrets Our Lady gave them.

The Miracle of the Sun on October 13, 1917, brought the enlightenment of souls and the conversion of the Republic of Portugal. The next year, bishops returned from exile, the military chaplaincy was reinstated.  Relations with the Vatican were reestablished.

In the United States, socialism, along with laws, that are contrary to the Ten Commandments, are being pushed more and more. Some candidates running for office are promoting “reproductive rights” – which is, the killing of the pre-born, even up to birth.

Our Shepherd, Cardinal Burke has written that we, as Catholics, have a moral obligation to vote:

“First of all, the Church teaches that we have an obligation, in justice, to vote, because the welfare of the community depends upon the persons elected and appointed to office. Secondly, we are morally obliged to vote for a worthy candidate. Depending on the importance of the office which the candidate seeks, careful consideration must be given to the principles and positions for which he or she stands.”

If you have not already done so, please submit your intentions for Three Holy Masses, that are being offered, invoking the intercession of Our Lady of Fatima, from October 11-13.

May Our Lady of Fatima deliver us from all danger and obtain peace for the world.

Yours in the Sacred Heart of Jesus and the Immaculate Heart of Mary,

Thomas McKenna
