Folks, I get it – I’m not everyone’s cup of tea (and if I’m being completely honest, there’s just regular old coffee in that cup.  )

Back in 2018, I flipped this district blue for the first time in nearly 50 years. But Republican elites really didn’t like a newcomer like me flipping the House majority blue.

The thing is, I know I’m not going to win every single vote in November. And that’s okay.

I’m running to represent all of my constituents with transparency and integrity. After all, the climate crisis, gun violence, and anti-choice extremism affect all of us: Republicans, Democrats, independents, or anything in between.

Unfortunately, national Republicans can’t stand anyone who prioritizes their constituents over catering to Donald Trump’s temper tantrums.

That’s why Tucker Carlson and Sean Hannity are giving fawning shout-outs to my far-right opponent, and it’s why the National Republican Congressional Committee just dropped six figures on ads here in IL-06.

We can’t let them install yet another MAGA radical in Congress. Experts say this district is a toss-up, so it’s going to be an uphill battle. But it’s one I’m ready to fight.
