Mississippi. Right now is the most important period to help Jody Owens
win, while the final voter contact efforts are underway.
Mississippi has one of the highest rates of incarceration in the country,
and Jackson (Hinds County) is the largest county in the state.
Jody Owens is running to radically transform the justice system and
decarcerate the county. We’re asking our national network to pitch in. A
win in Jackson would send ripples all over the country and would be a
major step toward ending mass incarceration and checking police power.
