I hope everyone is having a great holiday season. While we are enjoying our family holidays, I am also excited to get back to work finishing this quarter strong. We are just 5 days until this key deadline and I need your help.
We are up against a lot. I am running to unseat an entrenched incumbent who is more interested in his donors than his constituents. Michael McCaul has been in office for over a decade and has done nothing but work for his high-dollar backers and corporate allies. We need someone in Congress who will work to bring green jobs, universal healthcare, and real representation to the Texas 10th. I have been fighting for the people my whole career. From teaching in public school classrooms to working as an attorney for the City of Austin, I have always been working to better the lives of the people in our communities.

When I ran for this seat last election, no one gave us a chance. People had written this district off as a "solid-red" district where a Democrat didn’t have a chance. Well, we did what hadn’t been done. We ran a people-powered campaign that harnessed the amazing grassroots enthusiasm that existed in this district. Our campaign hit the streets and worked hard, knocking on doors and talking to voters where they were. That work turned this district into a national battleground. Now, we are going to finish the job and bring the Texas 10th the representation that it deserves.
