There’s a big reason why so many family members from Uvalde recently announced their support for Beto. Greg Abbott has done nothing to prevent the next mass shooting at a time when gun violence is now the leading cause of death for kids and teens in Texas.
There have been six major mass shootings on Abbott’s watch, and not one law has been passed to stop this violence in the 19 weeks since Uvalde. The inaction must end now.
