Tonight, I’m going head-to-head with my radical GOP opponent Chuck Edwards for our one and only debate together this cycle.

Our campaign is ready for whatever happens tonight, but we also expect Edwards’ right-wing allies and outside groups to ramp up their attacks.

With voting already underway in North Carolina, we need to get our message across tonight and set the record straight right away. Will you rush $5 before I take the debate stage to give me the resources to respond to the attacks that are sure to come our way?

Let me be clear: the stakes in this race couldn’t be higher. I stand for love, hope, empathy, and moving forward together.

My radical opponent on the other hand supports banning abortions nationwide and doesn’t believe LGBTQ people have the right to marry who they love. He called abortion rights advocates “evil,” and voted to pass “Don’t Say Gay” legislation in the NC state legislature.

With so much at stake and a single-digit margin separating us, we must double down on our efforts to win this race and protect our Democratic House majority.
