Hey friend, Please join me in wishing my dear wife, Yuvonka Davis, a happy birthday. Yuvonka is intelligent, beautiful, and has a heart of gold. Our family is grateful for her as we prepare to gather and celebrate such an incredible woman–she makes our family complete. Tonight, however, I’m skipping my standard call time to donors because I promised that no matter what, my family would come first. So I’m keeping that promise and celebrating my wife tonight on her birthday (it’s also our anniversary in two days, so I’m probably out for the count then too). This decision is a tough call because reaching out to supporters by phone or email makes this people-powered campaign possible, and there’s so much at stake in this election. Grassroots power is how campaigns like ours win. I know missing tonight’s call time might significantly impact our goals. I’m asking you personally, and after seeing how you all showed up for our end-of-quarter deadline last month, I know I can count on you.
