Dear John,
President Ronald Reagan praised his UN ambassador, Jeane Kirkpatrick, for
taking the “kick me” sign off America’s back after four years of Jimmy Carter
throwing America under the bus.
Jeane was America’s first female ambassador to the United Nations in 1981. She
was a proud American who refused to apologize for fighting for freedom. She
stood up to Communist Russia after the Soviets shot a commercial airliner out
of the sky. And she reminded the world that America is a force to be reckoned
with.
When I became Donald Trump’s UN ambassador, I drew inspiration from Jeane’s
conviction.
Today, the Left expects us to apologize for everything — especially for loving
America. There will always be people who “blame America first,” as Jeane said
of the Democrats. Jeane Kirkpatrick’s story reminds us we have nothing to
