GOP election denier Jim Marchant is ahead in two recent polls in the Nevada secretary of state race.

Marchant is a conspiracy-theorizing, election-denying Trump crony. And in addition to his own candidacy, he’s the one leading the charge for the ultra-MAGA takeover of key secretary of state offices in the midterms.

He’s helping shape the platforms of candidates like Arizona’s Mark Finchem, Michigan’s Kristina Karamo, and even Pennsylvania gubernatorial candidate Doug Mastriano. The point of his so-called “America First” coalition (give me a break!) is to bring together like-minded extremists who are willing to help rig the 2024 election and reinstall Trump in the White House -- no matter what voters have to say about it.

This isn’t just speculation: Marchant has openly said that he will do what it takes to ensure Trump wins in 2024.

That’s why The American SOS Project is making a six-figure investment in voter outreach in Nevada. But we can’t leave anything up to chance on this one.

I want us to consider for a minute what happens if Marchant wins in November. The terrifying reality is that we’ll have to watch as he dismantles our democracy, from top to bottom, ahead of the 2024 election. He’s mapped out his step-by-step process:

❌ Eliminate vote by mail
❌ End early voting and restrict voting solely to Election Day
❌ Purge voter rolls and remove eligible voters
❌ Allow endless election audits when he doesn’t like the results
❌ Spread disinformation and sow distrust in our elections
❌ Refuse to certify the 2024 results if Trump doesn’t win (!)

All of these “reforms” will chip away at the very foundation of American democracy. But of course it’s the last one -- refusing to certify the results! -- that will put the final nail in the coffin.

Trump and his friends made a crucial misstep in 2020 by not having secretaries of state in their back pocket, and they’ve made it clear that they won’t make the same mistake twice.
