We’re less than 30 days from Election Day, and between the hundreds of thousands of dollars being spent against candidates like me and the relentless negative attacks from the NRCC and my opponent, our race has gotten more competitive in recent weeks.

But I knew how tough this race would be a year ago. I knew it on election night 2020.

Here’s how I knew: When we flipped NJ-11 in 2018, we made the biggest swing from red to blue that year. It was the first time the district had flipped in over 30 years. And then we won again in 2020. 

Washington Republicans have been determined to take back NJ-11 ever since. And because they only need five seats to flip the House majority this year, they know our race is a must-win. That’s why I’m counting on the support of people like you.

I knew all along our race would be tough, but here’s the thing -- I’m not scared.

I’m used to a difficult challenge, and I’m used to tough headwinds. I faced them all the time as a Navy helicopter pilot and I face them every day in Congress. (Frankly, I face them all the time at home, too -- being a mom of four will do that!)

I came to Congress to complete the mission at hand -- just like I did in the Navy -- and I’m proud of everything we’ve accomplished. 

We lowered prescription drug prices and capped the cost of insulin for people on Medicare. Passed the biggest climate bill in U.S. history. Passed the first gun-safety bill in decades. Broke ground on the Gateway Tunnel project. Moved to restore Roe v. Wade and reproductive rights. And we’re creating thousands of good-paying jobs.

There’s so much more I want to do, but first, we need to win this race 29 days from now.
