Today is World Mental Health Day. We’re thinking about the child who is growing up surrounded by war. Children who have been forced to flee their homes. And every child experiencing trauma. Their health is at stake and it’s up to us to send support.
Globally, despite the growing need, investment in promoting and protecting mental health is extremely low.
The Mental Health in International Development and Humanitarian Settings (MINDS) Act will improve U.S. foreign assistance by integrating mental health services — making it easier to reach more children with life-changing care. In honor of World Mental Health Day, urge legislators to pass the MINDS Act before this legislative session ends >> |
Greater attention on children’s mental health means less conditions going undetected and untreated for years. It means children can overcome their trauma to reach their full potential. It means all of us can live in more prosperous and positive communities.
Call on your legislators to prioritize mental health services for children around the world.
Thank you for taking action for children,
