Dear John,

I’ve always said that nothing impacts hearts and minds as much as pop culture does. That’s why we created the Hollywood Bureau.

We were tired of seeing the typical Muslim stereotypes on screen - a terrorist, an oppressed woman, a taxi driver. That’s where we came in. As the go-to organization for filmmakers, writers, and studio executives, we are changing the narrative to be more authentic, inclusive and representative of American Muslims!

Can you commit $150 before December 31st to help us continue this work in 2020?
Yes, I’d like to invest in MPAC’s Hollywood work!
Need more convincing to invest in the Hollywood Bureau? Here are three reasons why our Hollywood work is unique:

1. We've gone beyond giving script notes

We present to writers rooms and show runners before scripts are even written to help shape authentic and unique Muslim stories and characters. In the past year, we added Netflix, Apple TV, Amazon Prime, and other studios to our growing list of consulting clients and partners.
2. We’re investing in Muslim talent

We want Muslims to tell their own stories, and we’ve been instrumental in getting Muslim writers placed in writing rooms. We created a Screenwriting Lab series to train and provide unprecedented industry access to Muslim screenwriters. We’ve partnered with leading companies like ABC/Disney and Wayfarer Entertainment -- to name just a couple.
3. We're a trusted partner

Our years of engagement have made us a trusted partner and the go-to Muslim organization in Hollywood. We were just inducted into the Advancing Diversity Hall of Honors alongside ABC/Disney Television, The Hershey Company, Procter & Gamble, the NBA, and the Ad Council! Not a bad group to be a part of!

This year was monumental and your support has made all of this possible! I hope I can count on your continued investment in our Hollywood work.
Make your year-end donation!
Thank you for believing in us and in this mission. We truly could not do it without you.

In peace,

Sue Obeidi
