Hello John,
We just wanted to slide into your inbox to tell you...
That felt good didn’t it? Research shows that receiving a compliment can increase your general happiness - not bad for something that’s so simple.
This World Mental Health Day we’re asking you to join us and #TellAMate they’re great.

You don’t have to make a big gesture like you see in the movies, unless you want to shout up to a mate’s window to tell them you love ’em of course.
We’re talking about the smaller stuff. You know, the stuff you really appreciate your mate for.
The cheese sarnie they left on your desk on a busy day, those rambling voice notes that always make you laugh, or that face they pull when they see a dog.
Take to Twitter, Facebook, or Instagram. Say something nice about your mate, then tag them and ask ‘em to spread the good stuff. Here’s how:
- Use #TellAMate to let someone know why they’re great on Twitter or Facebook
- Head to Instagram to add your message to our #TellAMate sticker
Or keep it personal. Facetime. Whatsapp. Send a video of yourself. It doesn’t matter how you say it, just don’t let it go unsaid.
Why? Because a few silly words can make a life-saving difference.
At CALM we know from our helpline and supporters that one word, one moment of closeness, can be the reason someone stays.
So however you say it, say it.
