Jack, I am very, very worried about 2024. No, that's not a typo—2024. Here's why:

All signs point to Donald Trump running for president again. Polls show him way out in front of the Republican primary pack.
Trump tried to steal the 2020 election. The work of the January 6 Committee continues, as do a number of investigations and trials involving terror groups like the Oath Keepers, and so we don't yet know all the details, but do know that Trump and his allies tried very hard overturn the election.
Now, here's the worrying part: Trump has learned from his mistakes in 2020 and he knows what he needs to do differently to pull off a steal in 2024.
In preparation for 2024, Trump has issued a number of endorsements for rabidly right-wing election deniers running for key offices downballot—the sorts of races that very few people pay attention to, but which have incredible influence over the basic functions of our democracy.

The single most powerful thing you can do to stop Trump from stealing 2024 is to elect Democrats to key positions downballot this year that will be crucial xxxxxxs against right-wing attempts to steal the election in 2024. To that end, Daily Kos is endorsing 17 Democratic candidates for attorney general, secretary of state, and state supreme court across eight crucial states.
