At a previous Trump rally here in Arizona, his supporters chanted “lock her up” in response to his rant about my work to keep our elections safe and secure.

It’s not a surprise — I’ve faced nearly constant attacks from the far-right, even death threats, and Kari Lake has called for my imprisonment.

As a statewide leader who faced death threats and protestors outside my home to defend Arizonans’ right to vote in 2020, Kari Lake and Trump’s name-calling and conspiracy spreading tactics are honestly tiring. I wasn’t afraid to stand up to these attacks in 2020, and you can be sure I’m not afraid of them now.

I know Adam has faced many of the same attacks and threats from the far right for his leadership during Trump’s impeachment and efforts over the years to defend our democracy. That’s exactly why he requested that I reach out to you before this weekend’s Trump rally with my opponent Kari Lake. Our efforts are part of the same struggle — to defend our democracy no matter what.

But this does mean that we need to be ready for anything coming our way today. Our race is a toss-up, and we can’t let Trump’s attacks and lies give Kari Lake the edge in this pivotal moment right before early voting begins.
