Virginia’s 9th district is consistently rated as the toughest district for Democrats in the entire Commonwealth.

We’re lucky to have Taysha DeVaughan fighting for us in Southwest Virginia. Despite long odds, she stepped up to be a voice for all Virginians and defeat insurrectionist Congressman Morgan Griffith. And, as the first female and the first indigenous person running in the 9th district, she’s doing it all while showing us what the future of the Democratic party looks like.

Democrats won’t win by writing anyone off, especially in rural parts of our Commonwealth. That’s why we need to fight hard to build new coalitions in the 9th district, even in the midst of tough races like this one.
