Hi JOHN –
As Joe Henderson, a columnist at Florida Politics, recently reported: "Florida Republicans put politics ahead of hurricane relief for the state they represent."
We'll break down why Republicans have reached a new low with their hypocrisy. But, first, can you chip in $5 or more to prevent a GOP takeover of Congress →
Just a few weeks ago, 25 Senate Republicans and every Florida Republican Congressmember voted against passing a bill that funded disaster relief through FEMA that would’ve helped Floridians that just suffered Hurricane Ian’s wrath. Those representatives included people from districts hit hardest by Hurricane Ian right before the vote.
Republicans, like Florida Rep. Matt Gaetz, are only now asking Congress to approve disaster relief funds to support recovery efforts from Hurricane Ian to make up for that insulting vote. It's too little, too late from Republicans, again.
You can't have it both ways, JOHN. It's clear that Republicans care more about political optics than their constituents.
Unlike his GOP opponent, Eric has long supported environmental policies, including disaster preparedness, infrastructure reform, and climate action to address the root cause of these severe weather disasters.
JOHN, we need your support to beat Eric's GOP opponent and end the hypocrisy in Congress. Will you chip in $10 or more today to help us protect Floridians and voters across the country?
