The worst drought in 40 years. Will you help?
If you saw the BBC’s reports from Somalia this week, you’ll know countries in east Africa are facing the worst drought for 40 years. Up to 20 million people are fighting for their very survival. Young mum Talaso, in northern Kenya, used to live comfortably with her husband and family – until the drought killed almost all the animals they relied on to earn a living. So when Talaso gave birth to her second son, Ali, just a few months ago, she found it hard to cope. Now, she worries for his future.
