Friend,

Last week, Doug attended Justice Kentanji Brown Jackson’s investiture ceremony, and watched proudly as she took her seat on the United States Supreme Court.

Guiding Justice Jackson through the nomination process was one of the most important moments of Doug’s career. Watch him talk about the ceremony and the historic nature of the event on MSNBC with Jonathan Capehart.

Friend,

Yesterday, I had the opportunity to stand with my friend Justice Ketanji Brown Jackson as she formally took her seat on the United States Supreme Court. It was the first Supreme Court investiture ceremony for a Black woman in our country’s history. Throughout this process, Justice Jackson’s courage and intellect has served as an inspiration to millions. It has certainly inspired me.

Guiding Justice Jackson from her confirmation to her place on the bench has been one of the most rewarding moments of my career. And now that Justice Jackson has taken her place on the highest court in our land, we’ve taken another great step forward towards being on the right side of history. Moments like these keep me motivated to stay in this fight. I hope they motivate you too.

I appreciate all the kind words I’ve received throughout this process, and I urge you all to join me in wishing Justice Ketanji Brown Jackson congratulations on this monumental achievement.

-Doug
