Running for office wasn’t easy– people told me I wasn’t “electable” because of my identity, and I was at a huge disadvantage when it came to fundraising.

Now, for the first time ever, four Muslim candidates are running in my neighboring state of Georgia: Farooq Mughal (HD105), Ruwa Romman (HD97), Josh Uddin (SD48), and Nabilah Islam (SD07).
