Hey John,

It’s that time of year again. The summer heat is gone and the leaves are changing colors. For me, the focus right now is all centered around one date: November 8th. And as of today, Election Day is just one month away.

John, this next month is where the magic happens. It’s an all-out sprint to get our message across to as many voters as possible in my district. From there, we just have to trust that Georgians will believe in me and my vision.

These upcoming four weeks will be full of long days, doors knocked, and inspiring conversations (with hopefully some good laughs mixed in). My incredible campaign team and I have worked all year to set ourselves up for success, and now we’re in the home stretch.

But in these hectic times, it’s important to ground ourselves in why we do this work. I think back on my own journey into politics over the past ten years, all of which started when my son Jordan was shot and killed in 2012.

I’ve fought to do whatever it takes to stop the gun violence epidemic in America and to make sure no other parent would have to go through what I did. Not once did I imagine this fight would lead me here, but when times are tough on the campaign trail, my story and convictions keeps me going.

I know I’ve said it before, but the stakes in the 2022 midterms couldn’t be higher. Let’s all do whatever we can to elect the candidates that stand for what we believe in.
