In accordance with a directive of the President, Governor Janet Mills has ordered the United States and State of Maine flags be lowered to half-staff tomorrow, Sunday, October 9, 2022 in honor of the National Fallen Firefighters Memorial Service.

?In remembrance of the firefighters we?ve lost and in recognition of their service and the sacrifice of their families, let us mark the National Fallen Firefighters Memorial Service by recommitting to doing all we can to keep our first responders safe in the State of Maine,? said Governor Mills.
