Dear Friend,
It’s the holiday season – and that often means that a lot of alcohol or other drug use happens. We invite you to check out and share our “Help Save a Life” series of infographics [link removed] to help educate people about a harm reduction approach to drug use, and warning signs of medical emergency or overdose.
Whether it’s the endless stream of parties leading up to New Year’s Eve, or a time when people seek comfort from substances, alcohol and other drug use is a major factor this time of year. It’s important for everyone to be able to help guide others to make choices that will keep them safe, or be empowered to respond in case things take a turn for the worse.
That’s why DPA’s Safer Partying program created a series of infographics called “Help Save a Life” – they contain information on how to identify a medical emergency or overdose for alcohol and some other commonly used drugs (in English and Spanish!), as well as provide harm reduction tips to help prevent those outcomes in the first place.
Please take a look at these tips and share them online [link removed] – you never know who might need the reminder.
Thank you for being a supporter of DPA’s work right now and going forward.
And no matter where your own holiday party plans take you, please be safe and have fun!
Sincerely,
Stefanie Jones
Director, Safer Partying
