Delegate Neil Parrott Responds to
President Biden and Congressman Trone’s
visit to Congressional District 6
Hagerstown, MD (October 8, 2022) – Yesterday, President Biden and Congressman Trone flew to the Hagerstown Airport on their way to the Volvo Plant where President Biden spoke to the workers and campaigned for David Trone. This visit shows how desperate David Trone is to try to hold onto his power in the district and confirms polls that are showing this race is a toss up.
While Trone doesn't even live in the district, but has to drive 25 minutes from his house in Potomac to even enter the district in Gaithersburg, Delegate Neil Parrott, Republican candidate for Maryland's sixth congressional district, lives in Hagerstown, where the duo visited yesterday afternoon. Delegate Parrott indicated, "As a Delegate, I have toured the plant several times and have worked at the state level to help the plant be successful. I'm thankful to know and be friends with many of the workers at the plant."

While President Biden indicated that he is for the workers, Delegate Parrott stated, "Unfortunately, President Biden and Congressman Trone claim to care, but their policies and votes directly hurt workers and middleclass America. Inflation is out of control thanks to reckless spending. Energy prices are skyrocketing because of restrictions on drilling and tightening regulations. As Biden and Trone impose more green new deal policies, manufacturing continues to leave for other countries."
Delegate Parrott continued by indicating, "As a result of these policies, Biden and Trone are making things in America more expensive across the board. Congressmen David Trone votes 100% with the Biden agenda. David Trone may have gotten the photo op he wanted, but the people of this district – where he doesn't live and rarely visits on non-election years – have not received adequate or fair representation in DC. Joe Biden, by contrast, has gotten everything: David Trone votes the party line 100% of the time. Those of us who actually live in this district deserve better."
While President Biden indicated that the United States will, "Own this century", Delegate Parrott indicated that, "With the Bide/Pelosi/Trone policies, the only thing we own right now is $31 Trillion in debt, which is rising at a faster rate right now that at any time in US History." Parrott went on to indicate that he will work for a balanced budget to bring down inflation and to give the next generation the same opportunity that we had, not burdened with uncontrollable debt.
Delegate Parrott looks forward to debating Congressman Trone, but so far, Trone has not agreed to a debate, only forums. Even so, at the forums, David Trone finally must answer for his record to the people of Maryland's sixth district.
