Yesterday the Liberal Democrats' new leader, Jo Swinson, said "to deliver what our country needs, then we should be prepared to work with other parties".
<[link removed]>
<[link removed]>Jo Swinson talked on Friday about how the Lib Dems did not stand against Green MP Caroline Lucas at the last general election, saying "I think we recognise that's probably something we will see more of in future elections”. She knows the Lib Dems will have to stand aside for other progressive parties in order to defeat the Brexit fanatics.

Plaid Cymru, one of the parties who stepped aside in Brecon & Radnorshire, have today sent us this message for you from their Head Office:
"Plaid Cymru’s decision not to stand in Brecon and Radnorshire is a principled one, driven by our commitment to the Welsh national interest and the cause of Remain. Like you, we saw that pro-Remain parties must work together beyond party lines in order to avoid Brexit.
"Not standing in an election is never an easy decision, but we firmly believe that we have done the right thing in the national interest. We hope – through our party’s leadership – that we have created the conditions for future cooperation between pro-Remain parties."
I am so proud. I'm proud of these bold politicians and of our campaign. It's great to see it working. But there's a lot more that needs to be done. A general election could be upon us within weeks.
