Dear John,
Dangerous sulfide-ore copper mining threatens already vulnerable wildlife populations in the Boundary Waters. But you can help by becoming a sustaining monthly donor today. [[link removed]]

More than 50 species and 200 types of birds call the 1.1 million-area Boundary Waters home. The proposed Twin Metals mine threatens to cause irreversible damage to the Boundary Waters ecosystem and the population of these animals. We need your help to protect this place.

Three Boundary Waters species are already listed under the Endangered Species Act — the gray wolf, the Canada lynx, and the northern long-eared bat — which can all be found in the Boundary Waters. A toxic copper mine would cause habitat loss, disrupt migratory patterns, and pollute food and water needed for survival of the wildlife that calls the Boundary Waters home.
The Boundary Waters needs defenders.

Becoming a monthly sustainer is the most effective way to financially support the protection of the Boundary Waters.
[[link removed]] Will you make a gift today [[link removed]] to help protect the Boundary Waters? Make a gift of $8 per month [[link removed]] or more before October 15 and we’ll send you this sticker of a long-eared bat - one of the endangered species that call the Boundary Waters home!
The threat of sulfide-ore copper mining affects the entire ecosystem of the Boundary Waters. But with you by our side each month, we can fight to protect this Wilderness and surrounding area that wildlife depend on.
For the Wilderness,
