Hi friend,
300 dying people in this country will take their own lives this year -
with no support, and no legal protection. They will be forced to die alone or
incriminate any loved one who helps them. It's a tragic situation, and one that
has to end.
Dignity in Dying supporters are working hard to convince politicians that we
need a compassionate assisted dying law. Your perspective can help shape our
campaign's strategy. Will you help us make our campaign more effective than ever by sharing your
thoughts? Here's question one from our five-minute survey:
Do you think that assisted dying should be legal for terminally ill, mentally
competent adults in the UK?

Together, Most people have strong views about the UK's assisted dying law. In
fact, 82% of us think assisted dying should be legal (1).
The current law forces dying people to make impossible decisions about their
future and that of their loved ones. Almost half of British people would
consider breaking the law to help a dying person end their life - but they could
risk years in prison for doing so. What would you do, friend?
Help us convince Parliament to act on assisted dying - take our campaign
strategy survey now. Here's question one again:
Do you think that assisted dying should be legal for terminally ill, mentally
competent adults in the UK?

Thanks for sharing your views, friend. We've already
convinced thousands of people, and dozens of politicians, that assisted dying
should be legal. It won't happen overnight, but we know - with your support -
that we can finish the job.
