Our Spanish-language pilot program will launch in Yakima this month!
The pilot will launch with a limited audience in Yakima on Friday, Oct. 21.
We will be conducting a launch presentation event that will introduce DFI to the audience (in Spanish) and our pilot workshop topics at a high level. Also, if we still have spots available for each, we will promote signups for the workshops.
DFI will also be attending the annual BankOn event
Our annual Bank On Washington forum is coming up! This year, the forum is an in-person event after two years of virtual gatherings. You can join us for this event on Oct. 24 and 25 at the Yakima Convention & Event Center. If you haven?t already, register here.
Please encourage your Spanish-speaking staff to attend some or all of DFI?s pilot events!
We encourage any of our partners present in Yakima on Oct. 21 to send Spanish-speaking staff to our initial session, so that your organization can get an overview of the new Spanish outreach program, even if they are not able to attend the subsequent workshops. Other communities and groups will be able to request the workshops once the pilot is completed. Workshops may be requested for in-person or Zoom beginning in November ? and we are looking for more community input on the program as it develops.
