Dear Subscriber,

Throughout the holiday season, and throughout the year, we deliver in-depth, investigative reporting that engages communities and advances solutions.

Take the recent impact of our year-long series “Aging Justice."

We set out with the goal of connecting the elderly with resources, amplifying the voices of their advocates, and providing tools to foster self-advocacy among seniors. Since publishing our series, advocates for NYC’s aging population have gotten much of what they asked for in the city’s 2020 budget deal: including $2.1 million in funding for 10 senior centers at NYCHA developments set to close and additional funding for meals at senior centers across the city.

Reporting like this helps to shape outcomes that serve all New Yorkers.
I support accountability journalism like yours!

This is journalism that informs and that matters. And this is journalism worth supporting.

There are just a few days left for us to reach our year end funding goals. If you give today NewsMatch will double the impact of your donation.

We’re grateful for readers like you who believe in the work we’re doing.

With gratitude,

Jarrett Murphy
