TRAVEL THE WORLD WITH VICTORY INSTITUTE

Congratulations Leanne K.M. Ho on being named a 2020 Rhodes Scholar! We were thrilled to have Leanne join us as a 2019 Victory Congressional Intern.

Colombia recently tripled LGBTQ representation, electing 21 openly LGBTQ leaders during the October elections, including the first gay man elected mayor in Colombia, Julián Bedoya. ¡Felicidades!

Victory Institute’s International team also completed their final training of the year in Bogota, Colombia. Victory Institute, in partnership with Caribe Afirmativo and in collaboration with other organizations, have been working since 2012 to increase the political participation of LGBTQ people in Colombia. Through trainings, technical assistance, and dialogues with the political parties, we have been contributing to the success of these courageous leaders. Out of the 67 out candidates, a third of them attended our campaign trainings. In addition, over half of the candidates received technical assistance from Victory Institute ahead of the elections. And our training made the front page of El Espectador!
